All QR codes — Profile, Post and Reel — are completely self-contained. The Instagram link is embedded directly inside the QR code pattern with no expiry. Your QR code will work forever, exactly as generated, on any device anywhere in the world.
An Instagram QR code is a QR code that stores your Instagram link in a format smartphones recognize automatically. When scanned, the phone immediately opens the Instagram app or browser with your profile, post or reel ready to view.
There are three types of Instagram QR codes our tool supports. A Profile QR code links directly to your Instagram profile. A Post QR code opens a specific Instagram post. A Reel QR code opens your reel directly in the app.
All three formats are universally supported on iPhone and Android. No third-party app is needed — they use the built-in Instagram app or browser. Your audience can follow, like or share instantly with one scan.
Our generator supports custom colors and logos so you can match your brand identity perfectly — making it suitable for businesses, influencers and individuals worldwide.
An Instagram QR code is one of the most practical and high-converting tools for any creator or business. Here are the most popular and effective places to use it:
Print your Instagram QR code on your business card so people can follow you instantly with one scan — no typing usernames.
Display your Instagram QR code on shop signage, event banners or outdoor posters. Passersby scan it to view your profile or reel instantly.
Add an Instagram QR code to printed marketing materials so potential followers can connect with you the moment they see your flyer.
Embed an Instagram QR code on your website contact or about page. Desktop visitors can scan it with their phone to open your profile instantly.
Add your Instagram QR code to your email signature so recipients can follow you with one scan — faster and more engaging than a plain link.
Place an Instagram QR code at your counter, on menus or packaging so customers can follow your brand for updates, offers and new content.

Use a Profile QR code when you want people to follow you directly. Use a Post QR code when promoting a specific post. Use a Reel QR code when showcasing video content — the most engaging format on Instagram today.
Always use a dark foreground on a light background — or vice versa. Low contrast QR codes are harder to scan, especially outdoors.
Print your QR code at a minimum of 2 × 2 cm for business cards. For posters and banners, use at least 5 × 5 cm for reliable scanning.
If you add a logo to the center, keep it at 10–15% of the QR code size. Oversized logos can block critical modules and prevent scanning.
Before printing in bulk, always scan the QR code with your phone to verify it opens the correct Instagram profile, post or reel.
Keep your downloaded PNG file saved safely. If you need to reprint later, you can use the same file without regenerating.
