Our free phone QR code generator is the fastest way to turn any phone number into a scannable QR code. Choose between a Call QR code or SMS QR code — enter your number, pick your country code and your QR code is ready in seconds. No account, no sign up and no software required.
Whether you are a business owner who wants customers to call you instantly, a freelancer adding your number to a flyer, or someone sharing their contact on a poster — a phone QR code eliminates the need to manually type out a number. One scan and the call or message is initiated automatically, with zero errors and zero effort.
Both QR code types — Call and SMS — are completely self-contained. The phone number is embedded directly inside the QR code pattern with no internet dependency, no server and no expiry. Your QR code will work forever, exactly as generated, on any device anywhere in the world.
A phone QR code is a QR code that stores a phone number in a standardized format that smartphones recognize and act on automatically. When scanned, the phone immediately opens the dialer or messaging app — depending on the type you chose — with the number pre-filled and ready to use.
There are two types of phone QR codes our tool supports. A Call QR code uses the tel: URI scheme — when scanned it opens the phone dialer with the number ready to call. An SMS QR code uses the sms: URI scheme — when scanned it opens the messaging app with the number pre-filled.
Both formats are universally supported on iPhone and Android. No third-party app is needed — they use the built-in phone apps directly.
Our generator supports 18+ international country codes including Pakistan, USA, UK, India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France and more — making it suitable for businesses and individuals anywhere in the world.
A phone QR code is one of the most practical and high-converting tools for any business or individual. Here are the most popular and effective places to use it:
Print your phone QR code on your business card so people can call you instantly with one scan — no squinting at small numbers or mistyping digits.
Display your call QR code on shop signage, event banners, outdoor posters or window stickers. Passersby scan it to contact you instantly without writing anything down.
Add a phone QR code to printed marketing materials so potential customers can call or message you the moment they read your flyer — while their interest is at its peak.
Embed a Call QR code on your website contact page. Desktop visitors can scan it with their phone to start a call without switching windows or copying numbers.
Add your phone QR code to your email signature so recipients can call or message you with one scan — faster and more direct than replying by email.
Place a Call or SMS QR code at your counter, on your menu or on your product packaging so customers can reach you for orders, support or feedback instantly.

Use a Call QR code when you want people to call you directly — ideal for support lines, sales teams and service businesses. Use an SMS QR code when you want people to send a text message — great for appointment bookings and order confirmations.
Always select the correct country code for your number. Without it, the QR code may fail to dial correctly on phones in different countries.
Always use a dark foreground on a light background — or vice versa. Low contrast QR codes are harder to scan, especially outdoors or in dim lighting conditions.
Print your QR code at a minimum of 2 × 2 cm for business cards. For posters and banners, use a larger size — at least 5 × 5 cm — for fast and reliable scanning from a distance.
If you add a logo to the center, keep it at 10–15% of the QR code size. A logo that is too large can block critical data modules and prevent the code from scanning correctly.
Before printing in bulk, always scan the QR code with your phone to verify it opens the correct action — dialer or SMS — with the right number pre-filled.
Keep your downloaded PNG file saved safely. If you need to reprint later, you can use the same file without needing to regenerate and re-test the QR code from scratch.
