Let guests connect to your WiFi instantly by scanning a QR code — no typing passwords. Perfect for homes, cafes, offices & restaurants!
Our free WiFi QR code generator lets anyone connect to your network by simply scanning a code with their phone — no typing long passwords, no confusion. Whether you run a restaurant, cafe, hotel, Airbnb, or just want an easier way to share your home WiFi with guests, generating a WiFi QR code takes under 30 seconds and costs nothing.
A WiFi QR code encodes your network name (SSID), password, and security type directly into a scannable image. When a guest scans it with their iPhone or Android camera app, their phone automatically prompts them to join the network — no app download required. It works natively on Android 10+ and iOS 11+ devices, covering virtually every modern smartphone.
Unlike many tools that send your credentials to a server, SnapCode generates the QR code entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Your WiFi password is never transmitted anywhere. Everything stays on your device, making it the safest way to create a WiFi QR code online.
Restaurants & Cafes — Print the QR code and place it on each table or at the counter. Customers can connect without asking staff, improving their experience and freeing up your team. A laminated table card with the WiFi QR code looks professional and modern.
Hotels & Airbnb — Include the WiFi QR code in your welcome booklet or frame it in the room. Guests can connect the moment they arrive without calling reception or hunting for a password card. It also eliminates the need to change printed materials every time you update the password — just reprint the QR code.
Offices & Co-working Spaces — Place a WiFi QR code at the reception or in meeting rooms so visitors and clients can connect instantly. It creates a smooth, professional first impression without requiring staff to share passwords verbally.
Events & Conferences — Display the WiFi QR code on a screen, banner, or printed handout so attendees can connect to the event network without any friction. Particularly useful for large venues where staff cannot assist everyone individually.
Home Use — Stick the QR code on your fridge or router so family members and guests can connect easily. No more reading out long WPA2 passwords character by character.
A WiFi QR code uses a standardised format called the WIFI string format, which encodes three key pieces of information: the network name (SSID), the security protocol (WPA, WEP, or none), and the password. The format looks like this: WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;H:false;;
Special characters in your network name or password — such as semicolons, commas, backslashes, and colons — need to be escaped so the QR code is read correctly by all devices. Our generator handles this automatically, so you don't need to worry about formatting your credentials manually.
We use High error correction level (H) when generating your QR code. This means up to 30% of the QR code data can be damaged or obscured (for example, by a logo in the center) and the code will still scan correctly. This is especially important for printed materials that may get worn or dirty over time.
